Getting there…
You'll only need to book your round trip flight to Belize City International (BZE) and we'll take care of the rest. All major US carriers fly here and most flights arrive within a few hours of each other. BZE is a small airport and easy to navigate. You'll be guided to the domestic waiting area where you can grab a drink or meal while you wait for your hop flight.
Your round trip hop flight from BZE to Ambergris Caye (San Pedro-SPR) is included in the package and we will take care of booking this for you. It includes one check bag and one carry on. You'll take the short 15 minute hop over to the beautiful island of Ambergris Caye and we will be there waiting on your arrival.
The most common way to get around in San Pedro is with a golf cart. You will want to have one or share one with friends as many of our locations are not walkable. In the past, we have had some couples decide to split a cart with friends. We have made this and add-on option so you can decide for yourself, just let us know who’s sharing on your order form.
The first week of our event is the “Trop Rock” week. We feature more of the modern day artists from the Trop Rock genre and others. This week is geared more towards the party crowd.
Week two is the “Parrothead Afterparty” week where we bring back the artists who helped get the whole thing started and an attempt to recreate some of the best memories from the best events from days gone by…and of course, “keep the party going” as instructed!
Each of the first two weeks will be truly unique as two different stand alone events. Of course week two will also contain a lot of partying, but with a different flavor than week one. Both are chock full of fun and music in the Belizean sun!

WEEK 2 MOTM ITINERARY
Saturday January 31- Arrival Day and The Grand Opening of the Order of the Tiki Bar Pirates
After arriving at San Pedro airport (hop flight included), we will have stewards to handle your luggage to the resort directly across the street from the airport where we’ll get you checked in and up to speed and signed in for golf carts for the folks staying at the satellite hotels. You’ll have your first few hours to relax and get into vacation mode after the long travel day. Hit the pool or hit the on site restaurant for a bite and get ready for the incredible music and antics of our Saturday night kickoff show!
7-9:30pm- We’re kicking off week 2 with a fun filled night outside your front door at the host hotel’s Sunbreeze Bluewater Stage- after your long travel day, we know you’ll appreciate this being a short walk stagger from your room! We’ve got Mike Nash, John Frinzi and Aaron Scherz on tap for Saturday night for an in-the-round show and it’s a perfect way to get your motor primed for the Parrothead week full of new friends and memories to come!

Sunday February 1- The Lighthouse Sessions, Cart Decorating & Jimmy Buffett Tribute
11am-2pm- Sunday you’ll spend your first day of vacation chillaxing in the pool and grounds of our host hotel, the Sunbreeze, for a very special day of music and memories. For those of us who miss “the old lighthouse days” from Key West, we are attempting to recreate that vibe at the Sunbreeze Bluewater Stage and we’ve got Kelly McGuire himself to bring it all together! Sunday afternoon we’ll chill under the Belizean sun at the host hotel as Kelly along with hosts an array of incredible artists and music all afternoon. Kelly is “the King of the Island” and the reason we found Belize in the first place! In 2018 Kelly brought Mike and Melissa to the island for the first time and none of us had any clue back then that first visit would turn into this.…sounds similar to a story I’ve heard about a couple of guys named Jerry Jeff Walker and Jimmy Buffett and another island somewhere?!

4-5pm - It’s a Rag Top Day! For those of you who would like to add to the fun, we'll be dressing up our carts and doing a little parade through town on our way up to Sunday night’s Parrothead Party, so bring all the fun stuff you'd like!
5pm- Golf cart parade to Castaway’s!
7-9:30pm - Sunday night get your out your craziest Parrothead and Pirate gear for a grand welcome party with a full band of our American artists and local Belizean artists playing literally on a Pirate Ship Stage! This will be an unforgettable and one of a kind tribute show to the music of the man himself, Jimmy Buffett! Mike Nash hosts "Thank God The Tiki Bar Is Open” with all of the week 2 artists including: Roger Jokela, Paul Roush, Kelly McGuire, Aaron Scherz and John Frinzi along with musicians Johnny Doo, Aloha Steve, John Patti and other American and Belizean band members as you dance the night away! “Keep the party going” with the music that brought us all together in the first place!

Monday February 2- Field Trip to Happy Island Bar at Secret Beach
11am-5pm- Monday we'll load the carts up with beer and bathing suits and spend the day chilling in knee deep water in paradise at our host bar Happy Island and Secret Beach! Secret Beach is one of the most beautiful hidden gems on the island and it makes for an incredible day of doing absolutely nothing but drinking and getting to know your fellow Mayans!
1-4pm- We’ll feature the music of our friend and local artist Brent Butcher for the afternoon. This is a totally laid back show and afternoon.
6-9pm - Monday evening we’ve got a private crab race special for our group at Nauti Crab. You’ve just gotta see this to believe it! It’ll be a nice change of pace from the music and Rob (the owner) puts on a show of his own! (VIP ONLY)
*if you choose to skip the crab race, Monday night will be open on the schedule.

Tuesday February 3- Take a vacation from your vacation day!
Tuesday is completely yours! Check out that restaurant you’ve been hearing about, book a dive/snorkel or fishing trip, head back to spend the day at one of your favorite spots, head to Tranquility Bay for the day…there is so much to do and see on the island outside of our festival that we want to give you an entire day and night to do what you want to do!
Tuesday night will officially be open on the schedule, but you’ll have the opportunity to support the artists all around town at various venues of your choice.

Wednesday February 4- Boca Del Rio Shows and Kelly McGuire Showcase
12pm-2pm- We’ll start the day on the Boca Del Rio Strip where we’re taking you to one of our favorite bars on the island, Wayo’s! You’re going to love the atmosphere and staff here and our dear friends (and owners) Wayo and Dee will be some of your favorites too! There are multiple seating areas both shaded and for soaking up the sun, or you can even bring a float along and enjoy the afternoon show from knee deep water around the bar’s edge! It’s the perfect backdrop to host songwriter’s Aaron Scherz and John Frinzi backed by John Pattii as you slip into the Caye Vibe for the afternoon. (VIP and Passholders only).
2:30-4:30pm- When we wrap things up at Wayo’s, we’re keeping the party going with Mike Nash at Nauti Crab literally staggering distance down the beach! Nauti Crab is another of our favorite spots we want you to fall in love with (and drink them out of Screwball shots!). This open air, beachfront hideaway is usually jam-packed every night with special events that the owner’s Rob and Christa put on, but on Sunday afternoon the Mayan’s are taking over and you’re going to love it!
7-9pm- Wednesday night we’ll keep the party going with Kelly McGuire, Paul Roush and Roger Jokela accompanied by Aloha Steve as we dance the night away at the (TBA) stage!

Thursday February 5- Island Hopping to Caye Caulker
11am-5pm- Now that you'll have a good feel for what Ambergris Caye and San Pedro are all about, it's time to go island hopping! We'll head out Thursday by water taxi to visit San Pedro's much more laid back neighbor island of Caye Caulker! (the private ferry is for VIP only, but passholders can take the public ferry-there is also a private Pirate Catamaran available for purchase here that can be added to any package)
Picture a much slower vibe than San Pedro; very few golf carts here. In fact, you can walk the entire 8 blocks long by 2 blocks wide island in a few minutes-but there's still plenty to do here on our day trip. You can hand feed the tarpon, search for sea horses at the sea horse preserve and even hand feed stingrays…or just “park it up down at The Lizard” and drink the day away with music by Mike Nash and John Patti. Grab yourself a "panty rippaah”, have a fresh grilled lobster, get in some souvenir shopping, or just enjoy the laid back vibe that is a “Caulker Afternoon”!
10am- Load the Pirate Catamaran (purchase necessary)
10:30am- Load the private ferry (VIP only)
*the public ferry runs every hour and a half for pass holders and general public (purchase at the gate)
11am- arrive to Caye Caulker
11am-1pm - exploring the island at your own pace
1-3:30pm - Mike Nash, John Frinzi, Aaron Scherz, Aloha Steve and John Patti at The Lazy Lizard Stage for an afternoon of island bliss (open to all)
3:30-5pm - Stingray feeding and exploring the island at your own pace
4:30pm-Pirates private Catamaran leaves for San Pedro (purchase necessary)
5pm- VIP private ferry leaves for San Pedro (included in VIP packages)
5:30pm - Pirate Catamaran and VIP guests return to San Pedro
*the last public ferry leaves for San Pedro at 5:30pm (for general public and pass holders)
Thursday night will officially be open on the schedule, but you’ll have the opportunity to support the artists all around town at various venues of your choice.

Friday February 6- Free Day & Grand Finale Party
1-3pm - We have the option to enjoy your last day chilling at the hotel pool with music by a local artist or you can do your own thing.
6-9pm- Friday night you’ll be treated to one final show with all off the week’s artists in-the-round. Mike Nash, Kelly McGuire, John Frinzi, Aaron Scherz, Roger Jokela and Aloha Steve will be trading out seats and keeping your last night’s music going non-stop. This will be the perfect ending to a perfect week as you say goodbye to your friends new and old and sadly have to return home from our week in Wonderland. We’re keeping this one at the Sunbreeze Bluewater Stage so you can easily turn in your cart early and you don’t have too far to stumble on your final night!

Saturday February 7: End of week 2 and start of week 3
Returning home: If you are leaving the expedition Saturday, you will cross the street to the airport where you'll take the quick 15 minute hop flight (included) back to Belize City for your return flight to the U.S.. Most US flights don't leave until at least 1pm or later, so you'll have plenty of time to grab lunch or a few more vacation drinks at the airport. You do have an option to stay longer at our group hotel rate if you find a cheaper U.S. flight later in the week, in which case we will book your hop flight whenever needed. Just let us know!
Sticking around? There’s no need to rush off! If you’re not ready to end your vacation on Saturday, you’re welcome to stay as long as you like! In fact we have quite a few who do! Just let us know if you’ll need to extend your room and we’ll get everything set up for you. Most of our hotels should have availability into the following week and it’s easy to extend your vacation. You might decide to head back to Caye Caulker for a few completely lazy days before going home to the cold? Whatever the case, just shoot us an email (before or after booking your package) at the email address below and we’ll be happy to help you stick around in paradise!
Continuing on with the expedition for week 3 : If you are continuing onward with the expedition for week 3 (inland Belize, Guatemala) we will be flying out of San Pedro together in the early afternoon to head to the hotel in Belize City for Saturday night’s easy welcome party. We know you might need a night off before starting all over again for week 3!

All guests staying at any of our hotels will receive VIP status which comes with access to the host hotel (Sunbreeze) grounds, pool and the shows at the Sunbreeze stage as well as VIP only events. Due to the overwhelming response of the event each year, we have expanded our accommodations to provide more options for our guests. We know that many of our attendees also travel with groups of friends and so we’ve selected several properties which have availability for varying numbers of rooms and bedrooms and are perfect overflow locations that still put you in the heart of everything and measure up to the quality you’ve come to expect from our event. All of our “Mayan Camp” collection properties are conveniently located within the festival event areas or only steps from the host hotel. All guests staying at any of our hotels will receive VIP status which comes with unlimited access to the host hotel grounds and pool and all locations are convenient to the Sunbreeze-Bluewater Main Stage.

Sunbreeze Suites is the sister property to our host hotel. It is located approximately a ten minute easy walk up the beach (five minutes by golf cart). This boutique property is in a great location in the heart of it all, with restaurants and shopping just steps away. It features all one-bedroom suites with a separate living room area/dining area and full kitchens. There is a restaurant and small bar on site as well as a nice plunge pool. The property has a total of 20 rooms of which our group takes over half. Sunbreeze Suites is a wonderful location within walking distance of the host hotel and also many of our music venues and camps just to the north.

Caye Hotel San Pedro is a perfect spot for solo travelers, groups of friends, or travelers who are just a bit more budget minded.. We’ve chosen this property because of it’s exceptional value and convenient proximity to the host hotel where many of the shows take place. The Caye is literally two blocks from Sunbreeze and because you’ll be VIP, you’re welcome to come use our pool and grounds at any time! Admittedly the rooms are nothing fancy, but they are very clean and comfortable and they have everything you need for a perfect vacation! The hotel was built new from the ground up in late 2024 so all of the rooms have brand new modern touches and comfy beds. It is a great spot in the middle of it all that’ll save you some drinking money and you won’t be spending much time in the rooms anyway!

Ramon’s Village is simply breathtaking! One of the nicest and best maintained resorts on the entire island; every detail is covered with this property. If you are looking for a unique “resort style” vacation Ramon’s will most certainly impress. Blue Tang has a total of nine one bedroom suites which include a living area and kitchen. This property is a perfect location in the heart of the festival, and though they do not have an onsite restaurant/bar, they do include continental breakfast and have a beautiful private pool area. Blue Tang is also only steps from Palapa Bar and many other dining options and bars along the beach strip where many of our music shows will take place. It is about a ten minute golf cart ride from the host hotel. With only nine suites, it’s a great spot to book with your friends!
